"After searching many places for spending this summer vacation , we finally zeroed in to the paradise destination Wayanad. We realised that we had made a good decision after reaching lush wild green forested Wayanad as the climate there was exuberant with sudden showers on and off. It was a totally different and wonderful experience staying at Deja View Luxe villa maintained by Luxnlock at Wayanad located amidst the lush greenery and mountains surrounding the villa. The charming property is situated on the top of a hill within elamala estates and is one among the 6 other properties in the estate.

It was the first of the type of experience that we stayed in the homestay villa. The moment we entered the place we were overjoyed looking at the view and the serene location of the villa. We got totally connected emotionally and fell in love with this place. Each and every corner of the villa showed the unique romantic taste of the owner with contemporary design as it was well decorated with local decorative pieces and paintings. There is a special corner in the living room with a good collection of books. The roof was decorated with terracota tiles which gives the look of a native traditional Kerala house with interiors made of local wood. There was a special cozy place on the first floor where my kids enjoyed playing. There are 2 cozy well furnished bedrooms having a traditional touch with two luxurious cozy verandah was decorated with a small dining table where we had local delicacies in the breakfast served , a swing and a rocking chair, the best place to spend in the early mornings and evening sipping a cup of coffee enjoying the beautiful scenery. I used to spend lot of time in the verandah enjoying the landscaped garden in front with an artificially made pond and magical rainforest facing the verandah and suddenly the rain and mist would change the entire place into a breath taking landscape looking like a beautiful painting made with hundreds of shades of green.The sounds of the chirping birds added to the beauty.there is a small kitchen which opens into the verandah.the local cook Sindhu who was very friendly cooked the local delicious mouth watering cuisines like appams with vegetable stew, idiayappam, puttu with kadala curry and fish fry.

We had an evening walk in the estates and we came across two cute cats which later visited us in the villa . We played with the cats and enjoyed their company we being pet lovers. There was frequent visit by Puchki the rescue dog to the villa which was friendly. I could have only glimpse of the other rescue dog Julie. We didn’t feel like moving out of the villa but then we visited the banasura dam, suchippara water falls and wildlife morning safari. We had the best malabar food at 1980’s A Nostalgic Restaurant, at Kalpetta which had an old traditional vibe and at Wilton restaurant.

Altogether it was a special memorable experience that we cherished each and every moment staying there. It is one of a kind staying at the villa that you may not experience staying in the hotels.
