"Firstly, the place itself is built so beautifully and thoughtfully. Really nice contribution with great amount of common spaces without compromising on privacy. The lighting and ability to use natural lighting so efficiently is really good. The simplicity of the design and build is amazing. And extremely silent and quiet.
Further, the hospitality is extremely homely, especially with the staff here. The food as well was really delicious and prepared with a lot of effort. A special thanks to these 3 ladies here — Devi, Sati & Selvi.

"I was completely wowed by the hospitality and the beauty of Vayal right from the minute we stepped in through the gate till our last day here. The food was spectacular, so was our nights spent here. The itinerary that was prepared by Annamalai was perfect and we got to see the most of Chettinad.

"We came to this place as a part of a package deal for a Chettinad Heritage & Cultural Festival. While the general ambience and rustic nature provide peace & tranquility, this place is not senior citizen-friendly. The staff are extremely pleasant & caring, the breakfast quality is awesome. The Wifi did not work on some days, which is a major issue because mobile connectivity is zero. There is no way, in such a case, to contact anyone if there is any medical emergency in the night.

Kalaichelvi Akka, Satya Akka and Devi Akka, along with Mr. Mahesh and the location manager ensured that the stay and our entire experience was so homely and deeply soulful!
